Emergency First Aid at Work – Forestry (EFAWF)

1-day practical training.

The course contents are suited to lower-risk workplaces where a risk assessment has identified the need for staff to possess appropriate first-aid skills and knowledge.

A First Aid at Work instructor delivers the course and uses the latest training techniques to maximise learner recall and confidence.  We have a range of extras to include in your course to your environment and risk assessment—for example, this course covers severe bleeding in your high-risk environment ensuring you have the correct equipment knowledge and training to give the best care you can to yourself and your colleagues in the event of an accident or illness.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work Course covers the following subjects:

  • Roles & Responsibilities of the First Aider (including health & safety regulations)
  • Assessing an Emergency Situation & Prioritising Action
  • CPR / how to find and use an AED
  • Unresponsive Casualty (Breathing)
  • Defibrillator
  • Choking adult
  • Seizures
  • Infection Prevention
  • Severe Bleeding in a forestry and remote environment
  • Shock and Internal Bleeding
  • Burns
  • Minor Injuries
  • Assessment
Costs:

At your place of work: Our costs vary depending on travel and the number of learners on a course – please get in touch with us for a competitive quote
At our training centres: £130 per person, look out for our sale price.

 

Duration:

This course provides 6 hours of instructor-led practical training excluding breaks as per the HSE guidelines.

For our open courses, we normally run from 9.00 to 16:00, allowing 1 hour for breaks throughout the day- please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time.

For training at your place of work, we can agree on training times to suit you and your staff as agreed during quotation and booking.

 

We help the environment, all our certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion. Our e-certificates are valid certifications and are accepted by all governing bodies and accreditation centres. Your TQUK e-certificate will have a unique QR Code that can be validated and verified via our website. Trade certificates can be verified by contacting us.

If you require a hard-copy certificate please let us know*

Your certificate is valid for three years and meets the full HSE criteria.
