The St John Ambulance public access trauma (PAcT) first aid kit with tourni-keys has been created by experts in the medical and counter terrorism professions to help save lives by being accessible in public places such as, football stadiums, arenas, and transport stations. They have been specifically designed to help save lives in emergencies such as gun shot wounds, stabbings, RTC’s, and terror attacks.
– Utilising military-grade wound dressings, tourni-keys, and specialist PPE (to protect the rescuer from cross contamination)
– A tourni-key is a lightweight plastic device that can be used with a triangular bandage or piece of clothing to stop a severe bleed from a limb
– Ideal to be kept along side standard green first aid kits – easily identifiable in an emergency due to its bright red carry case
– With the up coming implementation of Martyn’s Law bleed control kits will form part of the requirements
– Specific equipment designed to help treat catastrophic bleeding caused by knife wounds, gunshots, blast injuries, amputation, and severe lacerations
– Instructions are included making the kit suitable for anyone to use, regardless of their first aid knowledge
– Contained in a red waterproof carry case with grab handle
